Hot Springs National Park is a protected area located in the city of Hot Springs, Arkansas, United States. The park is known for its thermal springs, which have been used for therapeutic purposes for centuries. The park is home to 47 natural thermal springs, the water of which flows from the Hot Springs Mountain at an average temperature of 143 degrees Fahrenheit.
The park is also home to a variety of plant and animal life, including oak-hickory forests, sandstone cliffs, and a number of threatened and endangered species. There are a number of hiking trails in the park, as well as a historic bathhouse district that offers visitors the opportunity to experience the therapeutic benefits of the thermal springs.
In addition to its natural beauty and therapeutic value, Hot Springs National Park is also home to a number of cultural and historical sites, including the Fordyce Bathhouse, which now serves as the park's visitor center, and the Grand Promenade, a popular walking and sightseeing route that runs along the base of Hot Springs Mountain.
