Trail Information
Rocky Gap Trail (AKA: Potato Ridge) is located West of Las Vegas in the Red Rock National Conservation Area. Upon entering the trail you will be sharing the road with hikers. In this area most roads are closed to vehicles, so please know that hikers may dominate the road until you pass the La Madre Spring area. Once you pass this area the road becomes a single-track road, there are pull-offs so you can allow vehicles to pass when needed.
The most challenging part of this trail is known as the "Rock Garden" it is highly suggested to have a modified vehicle and to have a spotter to help in this difficult area.
