Trail Information
Poison Spider is a difficult and rewarding off-road trail located near Moab, Utah. This trail is a must-visit for any off-road enthusiast looking to test their rig and skills on some of the best terrain that Moab has to offer.
The Poison Spider trail is approximately 10 miles long one-way and takes about four to six hours to complete. It is rated as a difficult-level off-road trail, which means that it is suitable for experienced off-roaders who have a high degree of skill and experience in navigating challenging terrain. Poison Spider features a variety of obstacles, including steep climbs, rocky ledges, and narrow passages that test drivers' skills and nerve.
One of the most challenging obstacles on the Poison Spider trail is the "Waterfall." This obstacle consists of a steep incline followed by a rocky ledge that requires drivers to carefully navigate up and over. The Waterfall is a challenging obstacle that requires precision driving and a steady hand, and it is one of the most famous features on the trail. A spotter is recommended regardless of driver experience.

While you're on the trail, a well-known landmark worth a stop is the "Little Arch." This natural arch is located toward the end of the trail and provides a stunning backdrop for photos and sightseeing. There is a space out of the way to park, and the best views of the arch are just a short hike away. Do be extremely cautious with children and pets though, as this area is right up to the edge of the cliff overlooking the river below.
Another notable obstacle on the Poison Spider trail is "The Wedge." This obstacle is a narrow v-notch between two rocky walls that requires drivers to balance their tires on both sides of the gap. Again, regardless of experience, a spotter is recommended here to ensure you keep a well-balanced line.
