Trail Information
Holcomb Creek Trail (aka 3N93) is one of the most difficult trails in the San Bernardino National Forest. Located near Big Bear Lake, it offers serious off-roaders an opportunity to test their skills and rigs on a variety of notable obstacles.
Holcomb Creek is best to run from West to East. The gatekeeper is a 100+ yard rock garden that requires careful line choice to navigate successfully. Beyond that, the trail offers another large rock garden, steep off-camber climbs, and a few water crossings that can vary from inches to feet depending on the conditions.
With a Black Diamond rating, the absolute minimum vehicle recommended for attempting Holcomb Creek is one with 33” tires, very high clearance, and lockers. Stock vehicles are not recommended and will likely be damaged.
