Kansas Rocks Recreation Park is a popular destination for off-road enthusiasts in Eastern Kansas. This expansive park is spread over 380 acres and is home to a wide range of terrains that cater to different off-road vehicles. If you're a fan of off-road adventures and are looking for a fantastic place to wheel, then this park is the perfect place for you.
The Kansas Rocks Recreation Park was opened in 2003 by a group of enthusiasts who were looking to create a space for off-road adventures. The founders were able to obtain a grant from the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks, for developing recreational trails, which allowed them to purchase the land and establish Kansas Rocks as a 501(c)(3) not for profit business.
Since its inception, Kansas Rocks has continued to add new features and amenities including a pavilion in 2013, a major land expansion in 2016, and twenty-four each of primitive and electric campsites. The park offers off-roaders almost 180 different trails on its property! These vary in difficulty as you would expect, and are categorized by color to represent difficulty. Maps for the park are available through the website and the mapping partner CartoTracks.
You're not going to be disappointed with a choice to visit Kansas Rocks. The wheeling is terrific, the folks that run it are kind and passionate about the hobby. We're more than certain that your trip will be worth the drive.
