Park Information
Yosemite National Park is a United States National Park located in the Sierra Nevada mountain range in central California. It is known for its stunning natural beauty, including iconic landmarks such as Half Dome and El Capitan, which are popular with rock climbers. The park is home to a diverse array of plant and animal life, including black bears, mule deer, and an array of bird species. It is also home to several threatened and endangered species, including the California Spotted Owl and the Sierra Nevada red fox. Yosemite National Park is a popular destination for hiking, rock climbing, and sightseeing, and is also home to several historic sites and landmarks, such as the Ahwahnee Hotel and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. The park is located about 200 miles southeast of San Francisco.
