OSequoia National Park is a United States National Park located in central California. It is known for its giant sequoia trees, some of which are among the oldest and largest living organisms on Earth. These trees can reach heights of over 300 feet and are native to the Sierra Nevada mountain range. In addition to its impressive sequoias, the park is also home to a diverse array of plant and animal life, including black bears, mule deer, and an array of bird species. The park is a popular destination for hiking, camping, and picnicking, and is also home to several historic sites and landmarks, including the General Sherman Tree, the largest tree in the world by volume. Sequoia National Park is located about 200 miles southeast of San Francisco.
