Park Information
Redwood National and State Parks is a complex of several state and national parks located in the northwest corner of California, along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. The park is known for its towering coast redwood trees, which are the tallest trees on Earth. These ancient trees can reach heights of over 379 feet and are some of the oldest living organisms on the planet, with some individuals over 2,000 years old. The park is also home to a diverse array of plant and animal life, including the threatened northern spotted owl and the endangered Pacific fisher. In addition to its natural beauty, the park is also a popular destination for hiking, camping, and picnicking.
Redwood National and State Parks is located about 300 miles northwest of San Francisco.
