Mesa Verde National Park is a United States National Park located in southwestern Colorado. It is known for its well-preserved Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings, which were built by the ancient Pueblo people who lived in the area from about 600 to 1300 AD. The park is home to over 5,000 known archeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings. It is a popular destination for hiking, sightseeing, and learning about the history and culture of the Pueblo people. Mesa Verde National Park is located about 250 miles southwest of Denver.
