Indiana Dunes

Indiana Dunes National Park is located in the state of Indiana, along the southern shore of Lake Michigan. The park covers an area of 15,000 acres and was established on February 15, 1966. It is known for its diverse and beautiful landscapes, which include sandy beaches, dunes, marshes, and forests. The park is home to a wide range of plant and animal species, including over 350 different types of birds. The park is a popular destination for hiking, biking, swimming, and picnicking, and it also offers a variety of educational programs and guided tours. Park Hours: 6am - 11pm
West Beach Entrance: 7am - 9pm

Indiana experiences all of the traditional seasons.  Expect mild temperatures in the fall and spring, hot temperatures in the summer, and cold winters.  Clothing choices will need to reflect the season you are visiting.
