Death Valley National Park is a United States National Park located in eastern California and western Nevada. It is known for its extreme temperatures and arid desert landscape. The park is home to a variety of plant and animal life, including the threatened desert tortoise and the endangered Inyo Mountains salamander. It is also home to several unique geological features, such as sand dunes, salt flats, and the lowest point in the United States, Badwater Basin, which sits 282 feet below sea level. Despite its harsh environment, Death Valley National Park is a popular destination for hiking, camping, and sightseeing. It is located about 120 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Weather & Clothing
Summer is HOT and starts early: May - October. The most popular time to visit is in the Spring with the wildflowers. Fall and Winter can be very pleasant times to visit, as well.
For clothing, you will need to be prepared for extreme heat in the summer and cold when the sun goes down.
