Park Information
Carlsbad Caverns National Park is a national park located in the Chihuahuan Desert of southeastern New Mexico. The park is home to a series of underground caves, known as the Carlsbad Caverns, which are home to a variety of unique geological formations, including stalactites, stalagmites, and flowstones. The caverns are formed by the dissolution of limestone by water, and are a testament to the power of nature and the slow but steady process of erosion. The park is a popular destination for visitors interested in geology, and offers a variety of guided tours and educational programs for all ages. In addition to the caverns, the park also has a number of hiking trails that offer beautiful views of the surrounding desert landscape. Carlsbad Caverns National Park is a truly unique and beautiful place that is well worth a visit.
