Trail Information
Located in the Ozark National Forest, Car Wash Falls got its name because it's the only waterfall you can drive through and under. Car Wash Falls is like a car wash out in the middle of nowhere. And remember, bigger rain means bigger waterfall.
The falls run alongside Big Piney Creek on County Road 5881 and spill off the top of a bluff onto the gravel road below. The surrounding beauty of the Ozarks seems to wrap around you at every turn. However, keep in mind when coming from State Highway 123 that you have to wade through Hurricane Creek to get if coming from the south end so make sure you check the depth of the water before traveling on this trail.
Car Wash Falls is also part of the Ozark Overland Adventure Trail for those who want to keep exploring the area further. Pair this with a visit to Haw Creek Falls to the west on Hwy 123. Other notable spots in the area to the south west are Union School Old Union Schoolhouse and Bub's Cabin.
There is no shortage of dispersed camping in the area as well as campgrounds like Haw Creek Campground and Wolf Pen Campground. When you are ready for a bite to eat the Ozone Burger Bar and Oark Cafe should be on your list! Most gas stations within the area will only have 87 gasoline. Red Lick Country Store on County Road 21 when heading south to Clarksville does have 91 octane premium fuel fuel.
